In the province of Caltanisetta the tourist can admire many present monuments. Monuments of great historical value, between which they detach the Castle of Butera mainly, of century XI, from the remarkable rectangular tower, and with town-walls building, the church of S. Maria D'Istria, the Dome of S. Maria Nuova(1662), with frescoes it of Belgian painter Guglielmo Borremans, the lignea statue of Saint Michele di Stefano Turned Them (1625), a Cross of Humble friar from Petralia. To these they join the monumental church of S. Agata erected in XVII the century, with harmonious facade and beautiful inside to Greek cross, rich of marbles, Fontana of Neptune, in Garibaldi public square, of the scultore nisseno Michele Tripisciano, the graveyard of the Brangiforte principles in the church of the Carmelitani, and the Civic Museum of via Colajanni, with the artistic testimonies of the scultor nisseni Giuseppe Frattallone and Michele Tripisciano; and the reperti archaeological of the zone, between which a mirabile temple and beautifull vases are gone of Greek age.
