GALLA PLACIDIA B&B was opened in May 2001 and is situated right in the heart of Ravenna, just a few steps away from the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia and the Basilica of San Vitale. Its an ideal place to stay if you want to combine art and culture with a quiet relaxing atmosphere, in a pedestrian walkway near a verdant public park area.

GALLA PLACIDIA is situated on two floors of a very large semi-detached house, with ample space and comfortable surroundings.

Three rooms are available, all fitted with air-conditioning and private bathroom. All the rooms have a different character, they are spacious, tastefully furnished and welcoming.

Your stay is personally supervised by the owner, who is willing to provide you with information on events in the city, cultural tours and culinary excursions.

GALLA PLACIDIA'S position is well-suited for touring the city on foot or by bicycle, available free of charge from the tourist agency: you're just seconds away from the Basilica of San Vitale, the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, the National Museum, the beautiful city centre with its elegant shopping, Piazza del Popolo - the hub of the city, the characteristic refined candle-lit bistrot, the renowned Ca' de Ven where you can combine excellent vintage Sangiovese wine with typical local food.

	FROM THE "A14" HIGHWAY BOLOGNA-RAVENNA: take the first exit for Ravenna - So you are in Via Faentina - Go straight on for about 4 Km. following the signs to "RAVENNA CENTRO" - At the end of the road, turn right into Via Fiume Montone Abbandonato and then take the first road on the left - You are in Piazza Baracca - Now you have to look for Basilica of San Vitale - Use the car park of the Basilica of San Vitale (Piazzale Gorizia) - GALLA PLACIDIA B&B is approximately 200 metres from this car park in Via Mura di San Vitale,12- FROM THE "E45" HIGHWAY ROMA-ORTE-RAVENNA: take the exit Ravenna - direction ADRIATICA -NORD and go straight down the road for 3/5 Km., following the signs RAVENNA - CENTRO - In the centre of the town look for Basilica of San Vitale - Use the car park of the Basilica of San Vitale (Piazzale Gorizia) - GALLA PLACIDIA B&B is approximately 200 metres from this car park in Via Mura di San Vitale, 12 -
