Diso is a little village and municipality of Lecce in the Salento area in the southest part of Apulia region; Diso is probably of Messapic origin, far about 50 Km from Lecce, situated not far from the Mediterranean and Adriatic coast.
The center of Diso is far about 45 Km from Lecce. The municipality of Diso borders the hamlets of Marittima, Vignacastrisi, Spongano Castro. The somewhat flat territory is full of spring and drinking waters. On the very fertile territory wheat, tabacco, olives are cultivated, together with other cultivations, such us vegetables and citrus.
