Guagnano is a little municipality in the province of Lecce; it's located in the area of Salento (Apulia region) in the southern Italy.
Guagnano stands at the side of the street that links Lecce to Taranto and it is an agricultural centre; there are a lot of wine industry ,oil-mills and two cooperative stores.
The urban centre develops along the main road on which are linked others roads. The historic centre is characterized by "a corte" houses, typical of the peasant civilization. The village borders to North with the province of Brindisi, to South with Salice,to East with Campi Salentina. Among the recurrent demonstrations the most important are those in honour of th Virgin of the Rosary on the first decade of September, 'La Mattra di S. Giuseppe' on the 19 of March and Saint Antonio Abbate on the 17 January.
