Salice Salentino is a Italian municipality situated in the Apulia region, in the area of Salento at 19 Km from Lecce and it is an agricultural and industrial centre of the northern Salento.
Salice Salentino borders to North with Guagnano, to South with Campi Salentina and to west with Veglie. The agricolture tends mainly towards vine and olive growings that represent the main sources of profits.The oenological and oil industry is very developed. There are two Cooperative Stores, many oil-mills and warehouses for the tobacco manifacture.The oenological works of Leone De Castris are of national importance. It has the modern installation for the refining and bottling of the own typical wines and exports all over Europe and America.
