The town of Taurisano is located in the Salento area, in Apulia region, and its far about 50 kilometers southwards from Lecce. It has a level territory interested by Karstic phenomenon.
The territory of Taurisano, one of the smallest of the province (2.332 ha) it appears like a triangle with its vertex inclined on the left. It borders on Ruffano ( at north and southeast) on Acquarica del capo ( at south), on Ugento ( from North-west and South-west).
The phenomenon of the Karstic is very spread in this territory. It has a landascape with various morphologic characteristics and the traces of various civilizations that are passed on this territory.
The territory of Taurisano has many opportunities for the holidaymakers: the architecture styles of the churches and the palaces( From the Romanesque to the Neo-classic), the monuments, the archaelogical spots, the streets, the courts of the historical centre and the beautyful noble mansions near an exotic sea.
