The Genzano's from Florence have recently restored an antique building to turn it into four attractive and comfortable apartments for holidays. All the apartments have an air-conditioner, an own safe and a washing service. They are situated in a quiet area in the centre of Florence about 100 meters from the "Parco delle Cascine", the "centre's lungs". The historical city centre can easily be reached also by bus. The house has been built in the nineteenth century by imitating the typical architecture of the fifteenth century. During World War II was used as a base by German troups, in recent past it was part of the botanical institute of the University of Florence until it will now be used as the holiday house "Villa Lucrezia".

Palazzo dei Ciompi formerly “Palazzo Pascolutti- Giani” is a 19th Century building composed of 21 completely renovated apartments.
The building was previously home to the “Accademia dei Risoluti”, which gave birth to the theatre named “Alfieri”. On the main gate there is an engraving of the “Cavallo Sfrenato” ( the galloping horse) symbol of the “Accademia dei Risoluti” whose motto was “valoroso destrier passa e non cura”, (brave horse passing without fear).
The building is found in Via Pietrapiana at the point where the road meets Piazza Ciompi. In this very noble square, where the Ghiberti family lived, and situated opposite Palazzo Ciompi there is “Loggia del Pesce”, designed by Vasari simple and straight in design and composed of 18 thin Doric columns with a variety of small round terracotta fish.
Palazzo Ciompi is found in the centre of the old city about 150 metres from the square of “Santa Croce”, 350 metres from “Piazza del Duomo” and about 500 metres from Via Tornabuoni.
