Hotel Kursaal & Ausonia is superbly located in the heart of Firenze: it is only a 10 min walk from the Cathedral and from the railway station and is close to all monument and museums.
This welcoming hotel was completely renovated in January 2007 in order to offer a warm and elegant atmosphere. Our motto is: modernity in the classical tradition of Tuscany.
The public areas are on the third floor and the characterised by a modern but at the same time classical design.
The breakfast room, where a tasty buffet breakfast is served in the morning, is absolutely cosy and unique. The bar lounge together with the common room, with its sofas, books, newspapaers, Tv and internet access are the ideal places to stop and relax.

The hotel offers 2 types of rooms based on the size: Standard and Superior.
Some of the Superior also have a comfortable living room, some look out on the Cathedral, other on the roofs of Florence and some others have private balconies.
The atmosphere is warm and cosy with pieces of ancient furniture together with modern details. Bathrooms follow the same logic: spacious, functional and comfortable.
Two of the superior rooms have bathtubs.

Where we are

	From the Firenze Nord exit follow the signs for the city center (centro). When you get to Fortezza da Basso, take Viale Spartaco Lavagnini and turn right at the first traffic light on Via Santa Caterina d'Alessandria. After the square with trees (Piazza Indipendenza), Via Nazionale starts, our hotel is on the left at number 24 (black). From the Firenze Sud exit follow the signs for the center. Once you get to Piazza della Libertà take Via Lorenzo Il Magnifico: at the first traffic light turn left on Via Poliziano and continue until you get to Via Santa Caterina d'Alessandria. After the square with trees (Piazza Indipendenza), Via Nazionale starts, our hotel is on the left at number 24 (black).
	To get to Hotel Kursaal & Ausonia from Florence's airport you can take: - a taxi - the shuttle bus that stops in front of Santa Maria Novella train station. From the station take a taxi or walk. Leave the station from the side where platform 16 is located and turn right on the sidewalk and then left on Via Nazionale: our hotel is located at number 24 (black), on the right after Via Guelfa. It is about a 10 minute walk from the station.
	From Santa Maria Novella train station you can reach 'Hotel Kursaal & Ausonia by taxi or on foot. Leave the station from the side where platform 16 is located and turn right on the sidewalk and then left on Via Nazionale: our hotel is located at number 24 (black), on the right after Via Guelfa. It is about a 10 minute walk from the station.
