Let me tell you why we opened “Il Giglio GuestHouse”!!! Because we want to share with you how special Florence and Italy are! We love to take time to talk with you about everything you want to know about Florence. We‘ll tell you where to go off the beaten track and experience cheap and good places to eat, taste a cappuccino or espresso, enjoy a real Italian “gelato” or in winter a hot chocolate with chilli!!!

Our Guest House is a special place where YOU (couples, families and student travelers) will feel welcome in an Italian home!! We are right next to the Central Train Station, which brings you to all major sights (museums, squares, and historical monuments) like Duomo, Uffizi, Galleria dell’Accademia, Piazza della Signoria, and most elegant shops (Gucci, Cavalli, Ferragamo…), in five to ten minutes walking.

Rooms are big, very clean, with new and comfortable beds, free linen and towels and extra blankets if you need them. They also have coffee/tea facilities, TV and air conditioning in summer. There is a fridge in the lobby for all our rooms. Also bathrooms are new and we clean twice a day to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible.

Every now and then, we prepare delicious “Spaghettata” and teach you how to prepare pasta “al dente”, the Italian way, using home made sauce! If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to have a plate!!

Matteo and Mojca (We) work at “Il Giglio Guesthouse” all day to make your visit to Florence a truly Italian experience. COME and STAY WITH US!!!

HIGH SEASON: july, august, Easter, 20/12-31/12
MID SEASON: june and september
LOW SEASON: rest of the year.

Rates include linen, utilities (except for heating), wood for fireplace and barbecue, final cleaning, pool use, playground use and archery.

Where we are

	ARRIVING BY CAR: From the highway take the exit "FIRENZE NORD". Follow directions for the Central Train Station, Santa Maria Novella (SMN). When you arrive at Piazzale di Porta al Prato, turn left into Viale Fratelli Roselli. In 200 metres, on your right, youll see a big store "STAVINI". Next to the store there is the entrance of n°74. Ring the bell of "Il Giglio GuestHouse" and we will call together Paolo of the Garage to come and pick up your car.
	ARRIVING BY PLANE: From Pisa and Florence Airport: Catch the Airport Shuttle, which brings you to Central Train Station, Santa Maria Novella (SMN). Please see directions for "Arriving by Train".
	ARRIVING BY TRAIN: Once arriving at Santa Maria Novella (SMN) Train Station, walk for about 200 metres along Via Alamanni, keeping train station on your right. Once at the traffic lights turn left into Viale Fratelli Rosselli. On your left you will see a big store "STAVINI". Next to the store there is the entrance of n°74. Ring the bell of "Il Giglio GuestHouse".
