THE "FORESTERIA DEL MURAGLIONE" B&B and rooms to let is set in the MURAGLIONE SPORTING CENTRE and is equipped with swimming-pools, tennis courts, five-a-side football pitch, restaurant, summer pizzeria, private parking and nearby stables.

The Muraglione is the old "Gothic Line", built during World War 2 by the Nazis to stop the American Army advancing towards the north of Italy. It runs nearby our house

Our house is located in the greenery of the country at the back of the seaside resort of Marina di Carrara one km. away from the beach and the exit of Carrara on the A12 Motorway, between the marble quarries of the Apuan Alps and the Tyrrhenian-Sea coast-line. It is the last strip of land in Tuscany and marks the border with Liguria. Nearby is the archaeological site of the ancient Roman port of Luni (Lunae).

At a short distance it is surrounded by the promontory of Monte Marcello, rich with dense Mediterranean flora, and the sunny hills overlooking the medioeval villages of Nicola, Ortonovo and Castelnuovo Magra where grapevines and olives are grown. Every day the sunset provides a special sight of its own.

It is a starting point of many different naturalistic, sporting and gastronomic itinera­ries still to be discovered by mass-tourism.

It is the ideal spot to appreciate the beauty of both Tuscany and Liguria or for anybody who prefers a quiet break just for sport and nature

The house overlooks the swimming-pool, the tennis courts and Grandpa Piero's kitchen garden.

The Foresteria in the olden days used to be a hay-loft, now it has been transformed for Floriana and Emanuela to be able to welcome their guests into a warm homely and friendly atmosphere.

The house is surrounded by a large garden and by a terrace where guests can spend their time relaxing.

There is a pleasant and temperate climate all year round due to its sunny position and to the slight sea-breeze which re1ieves You on warm summer days.

Floriana and Emanuela will be happy to receive You and be available during all Your stay to help in organizing personalized itineraries of the surroundings, to make Your holiday as pleasant as possible and to share with you the love for nature, sports, arts, traditions, local dialects and country cooking of which Floriana is an excellent con­noisseuse.

Rates

The prices (in middle and high season) for B&B solution include: accommodation, breakfast served at the table, or in case of self­-contained flats we provide everything necessary for our guests to organize and cook their own breakfast and a change of linen (sheets and bathroom towels) every three days. In low season the prices include accommodation;breakfast is not served,but you can use kitchen corner for to have it yourself. We do the cleaning every day and change sheet and linen from every bath 3 days.

The price of the rooms varies according to the chosen period of the year, to the type of room, to the number of occupants and to the services required. Discounts are applied:

To groups of l0 or more people.

To guests booking for 15 or more consecutive days.

To babies or children under 12 years old.

To guides accompanying our guest groups.

RENT RULES FOR THE SELF-CONTAINED FLATS

1) The self-contained flats will be at guests disposal after 5.30 p.m. on the day of arrival and must be left by 09.30 a.m. on the day of departure.

2) Water and electricity are included in the price. Also daily cleaning (except kitchen-corner), change of sheets and bathroom towels on arrival and in the middle of the week and breakfast in the self-contained flats are included.

3) Table-clothes and kitchen-towels are not provide.

4) Access to the swimming-pool costs Euros......per person per day.
