The Lake of Massaciuccoli is located near Torre del Lago in the plain between Viareggio and Pisa to the feet of the Alps Apuane, to little meters of the villa of the great composer Giacomo Puccini.
The lake makes part of the natural Park of Migliarino S. Rossore Massaciuccoli, area protect from the WWF and the LIPU.
In the lakes we can find many exemplary of birds, is allocates them that migratory; the birds come in the lago and the surrounding swamp in order to nest: Aironi white men, Aironi cenerini, Knights of Italy etc, is some of the species that we can admire. In the lake it is also possible to practice to the peach and the aquatic hunting. Its area measure 7 square kilometers and is deep approximately 3 meters.
The surrounding campaigns are fertile and coltivabili thanks also to the reclamation operated in 1740.
