LOCATION.
The national park of the Great Paradise is situated in the Western Alps between the Val region of Aosta and the Piemonte region and comprising the areas of the Val di Rhêmes, the Valsavaranche, the Val di Cogne, of Goes them of the Orco and of Soana Goes them.
GENERAL INFORMATION.
The national park of the Great Paradise has been instituted in 1922 and has an extension of approximately 70.000 hectares.
ATMOSPHERE.
The atmosphere of the national park of the Great Paradise is characteristic of the high alpine mountain, with many mounts (the highest Great Paradise, 4061 meters), ghiacciai, torrents and a great variety of charming landscapes between which abandonated mountain villages.
VEGETATION.
The national park of the Great Paradise is formed from forests in prevalence composed from larici and firs red. Of particular beauty the alpine star, the genepì of the ghiacciai, astragalo centroalpino and the bellflower of the Moncenisio.
ANIMALS.
The animals of the national park of the Great Typical Paradise are present in much species: the stambecco is the most diffused, then we find the chamois, the lepre variable, the ermellino, the beaver, the real Aquila, the pellet biancax, I stick black and the pellet white woman.
HOW TO REACH GRAN PARADISO NATIONAL PARK.
- From the freeway of Aosta through Cogne; from the Canavese through Real Courgné-Ceresole; from Courmayeur for Arvier-Rhêmes Notre Checkerses.
Single or comitive visitors are welcome during all the year.
